Pre-Trip Blues

September 10,2019

The things to accomplish in the next five days seem lively. Those things involve work, fun, responsibilities, keeping up; paying bills ahead of time; vehicle registration, ahead of time; completing commitments due; funeral plans-just in case; laundry; doctors appointments; renewing prescriptions; sleeping, while entertained by John Lennon singing “Watching the world go round”to me in person throughout the night.

I really am fried. Cooked. Like an egg on a sunny sidewalk – this is your brain on overwhelm. Fried. It’s really not that big of a deal, but although I know it, intellectually, y mind seems to be in a peripatetic state, a wandering, unsettled bzzz.

Meditation doesn’t help. Prayer doesn’t either. Sleep.I tell myself, during the day. Sleep escapes too. Bzzz.

Can’t wait till I step onto the airplane.
